2023-2024 Classes
Recreation
Recreation Level 1 (ages 3-8 *If 3 must be potty trained): This is a perfect class if your child is wanting to try something new. We will learn basic steps and rhythm, it will consist of a 45 min class where we will be learning a dance to perform in December. If you liked the class we will have another class start at the first of the year!
Recreation Level 2 (ages 8 and up): If you haven’t ever tried clogging and want to see what it is like this class will be perfect for you. It will be a 45 min class full of fun and structure to help your child learn the basics and they will get to perform a dance that they have learned in December. This class is ran bi-annually so if you loved the fall class don’t forget to sign up back up for the spring class!
Competition
*Each class will be 45 mins, and consist of at least 2 dances learned throughout the year*
Intermediate (age 6+): These are students who have had 1-2 years of beginning classes. These students should know how to count the music, execute basic steps, and have some knowledge of technique. They will have a spring performance along with 3-4 competitions that will begin in March.
Advanced (age 8+): These students have had 1-2 years of Intermediate clogging experience. This class will start hitting more technique and start executing more difficult steps, student should have mastered any steps from the beginning and intermediate level. They will have a spring performance along with 3-4 competitions that will begin in March.
Championship (age 9-10+): These students should have at least 2 years in advanced and mastered all the steps in advanced to feel comfortable in the Championship level. These students main focus will be execution and sharpness, these students should compete individual events at competitions. They will have a spring performance along with 3-4 competitions that will begin in March.
Professional (10+): Students in this category must prove to the director/instructor that they are competent to compete in this category by trying out using the AAS (All Around Solo) line routine. This is the highest category so students will be held at a higher accountability for their team, individuals events will be highly encouraged with this category as well, whether that be in the championship level or pro level. Students will be focusing on sharpness, and difficult technique will be learned throughout the year. They will have a spring performance along with 3-4 competitions that will begin in March.
Class Times
Competition classes start Thursday August 17th. Recreation Classes will start after Labor Day (Thursday Sept. 7th)
